Towns App Crashes or Fails to Load When User Has Joined Many Groups (iOS App + Safari/Chrome Web)

Environment:

  • iOS App (latest version)

  • Web version on Safari (latest) and Chrome (latest)

  • iPhone (model and iOS version if available)

Description:

When a user has joined a large number of groups, the Towns app becomes unusable.

  • On the iOS app: the app either crashes, freezes on loading, or becomes extremely slow.

  • On Safari and Chrome: the website fails to load properly, remains stuck on loading screens, or becomes unresponsive.

Additional Notes:

• Issue seems to correlate with the number of groups joined.

• Other users with fewer groups do not face this problem.

• No visible error message is shown.

• Tried clearing cache and reinstalling the app – issue persists.
